The Death of Castro

Last 1900s, Castro began to experience numerous health problems, Castro also encountered surgery for gastrointestinal bleeding, which lead to a dramatic announcement on July 31,2006  Castro designated his brother Raul as the country's temporary lead. On February 19,2008, Fidel age 81 at the time permanently gave up the presidency physical condition, he turned over and handed all the power to his brother Raul Castro, who was 76 at that time. During the same month that Fidel handed over the power to his brother,the Cuban National Assembly formally elected Raul Castro as the president of Cuba, despite Fidel still remained the first secretary of the communist party. On April 2011, Fidel Castro properly gave up his role with Cuba’s  communist party.

    Throughout his retirement, Fidel wrote about his experiences and opinions which was called ”reflections of Fidel,” then later published his autobiography called “My Life” on 2007. From mid-November to early January 2012 Castro did not publish any stories which lead people to think the worse. Later that January Castro published stories which proved to be unfounded. Fidel also continued to meet with foreign leaders.

    On November 25,2016 Cuba's National New reported Fidel death at the age of 90. Early morning of the following day thousands of Cubans lined up at a memorial at the Plaza de la Revolucion to pay tribute to his death.Four days after his death, his brother led an enormous rally that was attended by the leaders such as Nicolas Maduro president of Venezuela, Evo Morales president of Bolivia, Jacob Zuma president of South Africa and Robert Mugabe president of Zimbabwe. While many Cuban migrates all around the world celebrated the death of the man they considered was responsible for imprisoning and killing thousands of Cubans which lead many separations within families and generations.

CUBA - Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro was announced dead on November 25,2016 on Cuba's National news.

 

       Fidel was born on August 13,1926, he was the third of six children. Fidel grew up in a wealthy family. He was educated in a private Jesuit boarding school. Castro attended Colegio dolores in Santiago de Cuba and  El Colegio de Belen in Havana. Castro graduated in 1945 and later entered law school at the university of Havana, which lead to his interest in the climate of Cuban nationalism, anti-imperialism and socialism,adjusting his strength more entirely on politics. By 1947, Castro joined the Partido Ortodoxo, an anti communist political party established to organize the government in Cuba. In February 1959, Miró quickly resigned, and Castro was confirmed in as Cuba's prime minister.

    Throughout the years, Castro was the target of many CIA assassination attempts an  estimated of 638 in total,such as ranging from exploding cigars to a fungus-infected scuba-diving suit to a mafia-style shooting, Castro quoted, “If avoiding assassination attempts was an Olympic sport, he would have won gold medals.” Castro's government has been rely on with opening 10,000 new schools and increasing education to 98 percent, infant mortality has decreased  to 11 deaths in 1,000.

   Over the time that Castro has ruled, many Cubans fled the country, numerous deciding to live just opposite of the Florida Straits in the southern part of Florida, Miami being very popular.Castro later opened up the port of Mariel, which allowed banished Cubans living in the Miami area to come claim their relatives, Castro loaded many ships with Cuban prisoners and mentally ill people and transported them to the United States.
